*About Me

Why does it say "writes with a golden pen" under my name, isn't that kind of pompous or presumptuous?

My name is two words - Zarrin Ghalam, and in Farsi "zarrin" means "golden" and "ghalam" is the word for "pen." My name is unusual, its meaning can translate perfectly into English - "Golden Pen." This, coupled with my one goal in life being to earn a living by writing, inspired me to put the words "writes with a golden pen" under my name as a joke (with myself, unless you speak Farsi) when I was first constructing this website in HTML and CSS, assisted by caffeine and delusions of grandeur. I'm sorry if it's offensive because it exposes the selfish underbelly of my personality, you think my writing is bad, or that the phrase "writes with a golden pen" is somehow false advertising since I definitely used a keyboard.
I never claimed that my writing would be a classy 24 karat treat, but I accept full responsibility for your disappointment if you feel that your experience on this site was not "golden," and besides yourself, I am the only person you can think of to blame.
I realize that I may be the only one who thinks of my hard work and skills as treasurable and I'm sorry for being presumptuous and pompous, and for the situation you now find yourself in, rolling in self-loathing and regret for the time you have lost, possibly forever, reading this. My only comfort is, "Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure."

Next, I own everything on this site, the poetry link and the travel blog.

Everything that I publish is written by me. The reasoning, photographs and experiences are from my brain or my camera.
